Occupational Therapy

with Red & Yellow Care

Occupational therapy in later life.

Occupational therapy (OT) is the use of treatments to maintain, recover or develop the daily living and work skills of people with a mental or physical illness. Occupational therapy is centered around you; it places a premium on the progress towards your goals and promoting your independence. OT interventions will  focus on adapting your environment, modifying the task, teaching the skill and educating the client/family in order to increase participation and performance of daily activities, particularly those that are most meaningful to you.

  • help you participate in activities of daily living
  • facilitate your independence

How does it work?

An Occupational Therapy Assessment and Intervention Care Pathway is used by occupational therapists to assess your day-to-day functioning and provide a structured intervention to allow recovery and independence.
